  1. Question 1:  
  2. This program will create the document indicated.  Please be sure  
  3. that this is what you want to write before starting.  You can  
  4. return to the main menu and select another module by pressing the 
  5. "escape" (Esc) key.  
  6. This program will create a Warranty for you to use with the sale of
  7. merchandise.  This is a statement that you will be responsible for
  8. defects in the product or merchandise if any should be found, but
  9. only for a limited time and only if those defects are caused by
  10. some failure of parts or workmanship. 
  11. Question 2:  
  12. Please enter the full name of the person or company that is issuing
  13. the warranty.  
  14. Question 3:  
  15. The program will allow you to specify what the warranty is for.   
  16. Here, you can identify that the warranty is for software.  
  17. Question 4:  
  18. If the warranty is not for software, than here you can identify  
  19. what it is for.  Please be as specific as possible, listing any  
  20. equipment or property that is to be covered.  Note that the program
  21. will give you an opportunity later to identify parts of the  
  22. equipment or property that was marketed by another manufacturer  
  23. and is therefore covered by its warranty.  
  24. Question 5:  
  25. Is the warranty for a specific length of time?  Normally a warranty
  26. will attach to the equipment or property for a specific number of
  27. years.  Often this is "one".  
  28. Question 6:  
  29. Please put down the exact number of years that the warranty will  
  30. last.  
  31. Question 7:  
  32. Often a piece of equipment or property will have attachments or  
  33. parts that were manufactured by another company.  If so, they may 
  34. be covered under another warranty and therefore need not be covered
  35. under this warranty.  
  36. Question 8:  
  37. Please list the items that are attached to the equipment or  
  38. property that are not covered by this warranty, but are covered by 
  39. another manufacturer's warranty.  
  40. Question 9:  
  41. This question asks if the manufacturer's warranty is for a period 
  42. of years.  The next question will allow you to identify the number 
  43. of years so that the purchaser of the equipment or property will  
  44. have a complete understanding of how long the warranty lasts.  
  45. Question 10:  
  46. Please list the number of years covered by the warranty granted by 
  47. the other manufacturer.  
  48. Question 11:  
  49. If this warranty is for software, then you need to properly and  
  50. completely describe the software.  The next question will allow you
  51. to write what the software is going to do.  
  52. Question 12:  
  53. Here, please list what the software is going to do.  Be as  
  54. specific as possible so there is no confusion as to what is  
  55. covered by the warranty.  Keep in mind that you are warranting that
  56. the software will perform the functions that you describe in answer
  57. to this question.  
  58. Question 13:  
  59. This warranty can be granted by an individual or a company.  If a 
  60. company, please answer "yes" to this question.  
  61. Question 14:  
  62. The city or town you that the agreement will be signed in needs to 
  63. be specified.  If you are going to execute the agreement in a rural
  64. area (not in a city or town) than use the name of the closest city 
  65. or town.  
  66. Question 15:  
  67. The state, territory or jurisdiction needs to be specified.  
  68. Question 16:  
  69. The questions are now complete.  You can go back to any question if
  70. you wish by pressing "escape", or you can continue with the  
  71. program.  Now that the questions are completed, the program will  
  72. allow you to preview the document, write it to a disk file for  
  73. editing further or print it.  Note that it will be automatically  
  74. saved so you can review or print it later.
